My name is Winaan. I am a Textile Artist and a Computer Nerd,  the Mother of two of  the most beautiful daughters on terra firma and the Grandmother of the  most precious angels to visit this planet. 

I am proud to say that I am the Web Mistress of this site. I started my web site early November 2000 knowing nothing about computer graphics or web design and I do mean nothing. I have met some wonderful people on the Net and learned a great deal about my second passion *S*

I have had no formal training in either of my chosen art forms - 
Machine Applique/Embroidery/3D Fabric Sculpture & Computer Graphics.  
With my computer graphics however I have been lucky enough to have had a 
number of very patient mentors and I would like to thank them all.

I live in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia right at the base of  the Dandenong Ranges.  


Like most women of my age group I have been a round or two with my demons and seem to have come out on top.  For anyone who has Depression, Prescription Drug Abuse &/or Alcoholism there is hope - there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  

You may slip and fall sometimes but I believe that God/Goddess/All That Is will find a way to bring you back - if that's what you really want.  Always, always believe that you are not alone and if you need an ear people will listen and try to help.  

I have been there and I got back - I am a Survivor and you can survive too.  I will admit that I have my bad days but one of my tenants is that yesterday is over and cannot be changed  and tomorrow is just that, tomorrow and tomorrow is a new day, oh and by the way - tomorrow never comes it is always just that 'Tomorrow'.   The only important day is Today and if you can get through today, you are a winner. 
So an end to my preaching except to say that just take a day and respect yourself for just one day and see how it feels.

I live surrounded by the Dandenong Ranges and am constantly visited by Rosellas (of every colour), Sulphur Crested Cockatoos, Yellow Tailed Black Cockatoos, Kookaburra's and a variety of other native birds and animals - although the demon possum that visits on occasions leaves a little to be desired.

My graphics passion are Wallpapers (my daughter says it's an addiction)

Oh, by the way, you've probably already noticed that I love Computer Graphics so please excuse the overkill with the all the art.  I adore extremely bright colours and bold pictures and my PSP7 does get a bit of a beating.  My Art, both Textile & Computer,  is my passion and I find the healing properties of colour to be exceptional.
